Car of the Week 8

This week it’s Barrie’s super blue and cream Sabre – possibly the most popular colour?

The kit was bought directly from the Royale Motor Company’s Bamber Bridge factory
in September 1995 by Mr Rowson a newly retired engineer. Being meticulous it took
him over two years to finish the car. He registered it on 1st January 1998.
He always kept it covered in a heated garage for 10 years and when recently
widowed, advertised it for sale in 2007 with just 323 miles on the clock.
The car has benefited from numerous upgrades and enhancements over the 14 years
of my ownership and now drives as well as it looks.
Many often mistake it as a Frazer Nash/BMW of the late 1940’s but of course we
all know it as a genuine Royale Sabre.
