1997 royale sabre 2.0efi.
For sale is my late father’s sabre, base is a 1987 sierra 2.0 efi ghia, pinto engine ford type 9 gbox.
Car was built in 1997 at my father’s classic restoration business in Kinross, Scotland.
I have all build manuals, invoices, pictures, a very extensive history file on the car.
My father was in talks with john Barlow about becoming a builder/supplier of royales but sadly
it never came to fruition due to supply issues. Our car was to be a demonstrator model but ended up
just being enjoyed by my father.
Since building the cars covered 20k miles without a problem, if you know these kits you know how well
they are made. Every part from the donor car was stripped cleaned painted , engine and gearbox were
refreshed and rebuilt. I have recently had a new electric cooling fan fitted and just motd it .
I have also had the car treated to a stage 3 polish and ceramic coating paint protection (5yr guarantee)
at the cost of £750.The cars ready to be enjoyed, needs nothing and it’s a crying shame it’s sat in my
garage not going anywhere. I have priced the car at £10000 which i feel is a fair deal. The car is in
Perthshire Scotland.
